Las Vegas Shooting

At Least 59 Killed in Las Vegas Shooting Rampage, more than 500 others Injured By The Washington Post

I choose "The Las Vegas Shooting" At Least 59 killed in Las Vegas shooting rampage, more than 500 others injured" https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/morning-mix/wp/2017/10/02/police-shut-down-part-of-las-vegas-strip-due-to-shooting/?utm_term=.08c9ef751610  by Lynh Bul, Matt Zapotsky, Devlin Barrett and Mark Berman. The authors subjective discussion to this topic is that this has been the deadliest mass shooting in modern American history. Stephan Paddock killed 59 people and injured 500 others. He did it all by himself he had no help from anyone. According to the writers all his guns were legal he bought them within a period of years. He did not buy them all in one state it was all in different location. The people whom he bought them from said he never acted suspicious of any kind. When Stephan started shooting he did not warn anyone he just started shooting like crazy. As soon as he started shooting he started killing people while others were trying to run full of blood they had no where to hide it was just a field of land The hotel where he stayed they said he did not seem suspicious of anything. He stayed there for several days And had brought 10 suitcases with him to the hotel but yet they still thought it was normal. The authors discussions good points was them explaining very well what occurred days and years before. One good point the authors had was, "Gun purchase records indicate Paddock legally bought more than two dozen firearms across a period of years according to the person close to the investigation." "Paddock purchased some of his weapons there, but employees followed all procedures required by law, and Paddock never gave any indication or reason to believe he was unstable or unfit at any time." They had proof that he had been collecting guns over a certain period of times but its weird how he chose that day to use his guns. I do not think the authors missed any information everything a person needed or wanted to know about what happened that day is in the article. Where I most saw there subjective opinion is "Investigators believe at least one of the guns functioned as if it were fully automatic, and they are now trying to determine if he modified it or other weapons to be capable of spitting out a high volume of fire just by holding down the trigger." They are trying to figure out how the gun working by was automatically working by itself but for all they know he bought it like that. I agree with them on that because not a lot of people have guns that shoot by themselves none stop. I usually see that in movies.

  1. Have anyone asked the question, how did this fool get them many weapons in his room. Don't they have security anymore?
